Acceptable Use Policy

In short: use Clear CMS for honest, legal websites. We do not host scams, gambling, adult content, illegal sales, malware, spam, hate or content you do not have the rights to. We review new sites and domains, and we can take down sites that break these rules. Report abuse to abuse@clearcms.app.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Clear CMS: account holders, the people they invite, and every site and domain hosted with us. It is part of our Terms of Service.

New sites and domains

Before a new site name (for example yourname.clearcms.app) or a connected domain goes live, we may review it. We may refuse a name or domain that looks misleading, imitates a known brand or organization, or suggests activity this policy does not allow.

What we may do

If we believe a site or account breaks this policy, we may, depending on how serious it is:

• ask you to change or remove the content;
• hide specific content;
• suspend the site, the connected domain, or the account;
• end the account under our Terms of Service;
• report illegal activity to the relevant authorities.

Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you what we did and why, and give you a chance to respond. We may act first and contact you after when there is a risk to visitors, to other clients, or to us.

Report abuse

If you see a site hosted with Clear CMS that breaks this policy, email abuse@clearcms.app with the address of the page and a short description of the problem.

For copyright complaints, please also include: what work you believe is being infringed, proof you own it or act for the owner, and your contact details. [Notice-and-notice process under the Canadian Copyright Act to be confirmed by counsel.]

Changes

We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. The current version is always on this page.
